mike i thought you might enjoy these pictures DOC'S first year was a very successful one at season's end he had made 63 retrieves 4 geese and 59 ducks the longest of his retrieves was around 150 yards he has come to work with me every day since day one i own the lumber yard in town his personality has really bloomed he has lots of rules at work and was really easy to train he has been exposed to litter ally 1000's of people we have people that have never seen the silver color he is pretty much a rock star i think everybody in the county has heard about him i tell every body where he came from i have raised over 300 dogs in the last 30 years from hounds to shorthairs and ever thing between he is one of the smartest and quick learning dogs i have ever owned i know that by being with me all day helps but the dog is just flat SMART he pick's things up really fast that one picture of him behind the pile of ducks was his 4th hunt he hadn't really made a retrieve up to that point and that morning first group in we shot 3 down and he marked and made all 3 it was like he turned a switch on from that point i just wanted you to no i'm really pleased with the dog

We are proud to be one of the Leading Pointing Lab Breeders in the state. Having a genuine love and appreciation for the breed, we offer pointing Labradors For Sale, beginning at 7 weeks. Our available Pointing Labs usually range in age from 7 week old puppies to started dogs. While no two litters are the same, some of the Pointing Labs For Sale, offered by Lankas Labs, are available in the following colors:

The Benefits of Early Learning

As you can see from our pictures, we begin working with our Labs while they are very young. Labradors have natural instincts that are beneficial when hunting waterfowl or engaging in uplands hunting activities. At Lankas Labs, we help each Lab build on his or her own natural pointing instincts to develop a trained, loyal gun dog.

Starting at the age of 5 weeks, all of our puppies are introduced to a pheasant wing. This helps them become familiar with scents, appearances and textures of fowl at an early age. Unless they are working, Labradors are non-aggressive, family-focused dogs that make great companions. All of our puppies are socialized with other dogs as well as humans to help develop an excellent hunting dog as well as a dedicated, family companion.

About the Labrador Breed

Very intelligent, Labradors are one of the most popular breeds to own. Originating from Newfoundland, Labs have been known for their dedicated service to humans. In addition to working as Pointing Labradors, other uses for the breed have included working as guide dogs for the blind, serving as emotional assistance animals for the handicapped and working as a tracking dog for various civilian and military law enforcement departments.

Preferred by hunters, Pointing Labs are highly desired for their acute sense of smell, their excellent ability to be trained and their love of water. Labs are highly proficient swimmers, making them ideal working dogs for waterfowl hunters. Out of the water, their ability to detect scents makes them the perfect upland hunting dogs.
